Week 13

Yayy It’s official! I've been a missionary for 3 months now!! And there’s not a lot to talk about this week:)

First off, our pet Fred(s). They are starting to run away from us and there are very few out and about now that the weather is turning colder. We are still able to catch a few though. Also, my toenails, in case you are wondering, hahahaha, are still painted. It has been over 4 months now since they got painted on my Lake Powell trip and yet they are still a pretty color. Not sure how. hahaha!

Soooo, the scary guy with a gun in his waistband… turns out he is VERY interested in the church and is always inviting us over for lunch or dinner just to about anything. He is so loving and is SOOOOO hospitable. He STRIVES to come to church but his busy school schedule doesn’t give him a lot of time but wow he wants to so bad!! I’m not sure if he’s interested in converting but he is VERY interested in us, ahaha. He is always telling us “if you EVER feel unsafe, please know that you can come here and in my home”... yes still creepy but i think he thinks we live in the same neighborhood that he lives in. haha But as you know, we live innnnn THE BARN, hahah. Gotta love those spiders when you wake up in the morning and there on the ceiling haha!

The area I am serving in right now is amazing!! God has put so many ready souls in our paths to teach and to get on the right path! We have a lot of people that are progressing!!  Hey, I thought of a funny story. Jason and Louvina (chainsmoker friends) went from smoking 3 packs a day toooooo… 0 cigarettes!! How they did it?  I’m not sure. We did tell them “if you guys don’t keep the commitments we give you, we can’t keep teaching you, and we really want to, so our question for you guys is, can we take all your cigarettes today and bury them just like anti-nephi-lehis did and (bury your weapons) bury the temptations?” they looked at one another and said “not another okay?” and they agreed and they gave us all their cigarettes hahahaha WOW, we had like 32 packs of cigarettes in our car after that lesson…. wow the temptation was real with those being in the car…. im kiddingggggggg!! But we are going to bury the cigarettes just so we can say we buried the weapons of war! What a miracle, what a blessing, God is so real and gave them the strength to do that! 3 days after that experience we met with them again, and theyyyyy ARE CLEAN!!! I know and can bear testimony and witness that God is real and his power is real. Just like Bishop Solomon always told me, Either 12:27, YOUR WEAKNESSES CAN BECOME STRENGTHS!!! I see the Lords hand so much in this as they strive to become better each and every day!! So proud of them and their journey!!

Quick quote of the week “If you have a dream, a goal… protect it!” The world may say no to your goals and dreams, but that won’t stop you from what you can achieve in life! Push away all haters, all temptation satan or the world may throw at you! You may get beat down by life, but we must always get back up! Go after your goals and dreams! I love this quote so much, so much passion behind it!

Love you all so much!! Email me and message me if you want to and i will get back to you on Mondays!!:D I hope you all have a great and blessed week!!
