Week 15

Yo yo yoooo waz poppin!! This week is kind of hard to describe so bear with me!

Start off with big news, I am now the district leader and that is amazing and i am so excited to learn and try my best to help others along the way!

Elder Layton has left our trio to work in the office for the next few weeks until he leaves on Dec. 28th for England. So now it is me and Elder Dille, haha, 2 greenies living in the barn… nothing can go wrong… right? Haha

Also, happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Haha

Me and Elder Dille aren't too smart with our money… we buy toys all the time, hotwheels, legos, mini skateboards, framed pictures of the most random things, literally if we smile when we look at something we buy it hahahaha my mom probably won’t want to hear that but it puts a smile on my face and that’s all that matters:)

Today I wanted to talk about something that I had to face this week that is very hard… and it involves sacrifice… It’s about the story of Abraham and his son Issac. Most of you know the story but if not, long story short, he had a son that he loved more than anything in the world other than the lord, and he loved this boy more than you could ever imagine. The lord commanded Abraham to sacrifice his son to the lord. Thinking on this, and hearing this… what are we willing to sacrifice to the lord, are we willing to do anything for him? In the end of the story, his son didn't die, the Lord sparred Isaac after seeing Abraham was willing to do whatever it took because he loved the lord more than anything. The lord keeps promises, and I faced that this week in my life. I had to give something up, sacrifice something so hard, but because the Lord will provide a way… he will keep his end of the promise… we all need to be, including myself, at the point of Abraham… willing to do whatever it takes to show the lord that we love him more than anything and he will bless us and keep his promise if we do so! I love this story so much and it can pertain to everyone in life… in every aspect!

I hope you all have an amazing thanksgiving week and see the blessings from the lord more abundantly then ever before!

Till next week, Elder Mortensen outta here!
