Week 37

Welp…I missed a few weeks but there is not too much to talk about so this email might be the shortest email I’ve ever written but who knows maybe it’ll lengthen out! So pretty much everything we try and do in this area just NEVER feels right, always feels like were doing something wrong or idk how to explain it. But we tried a new strategy. We posted some HUGE social media pages on instagram and facebook and got LOADS of service projects from our posts. So for the past 2 weeks each and every day is HOURS of service and I’m not kidding when I say HOURS!! The amount of blisters on my hands is crazy!! My hands are now soft from not playing baseball everyday for hours so I’m glad they are getting work in ahha!! 

 

 

And I’ll be honest i kinda like service ahha only because 1. when we ask the person we just did service for if we can come back and share a easter message… they CAN’T say no because you just did HOURS of service for them. So we have been 100% with return appts and new people from our service and it’s been awesome. And 2., I ALWAYS feel so fulfilled after raking a HUGE yard and the before and after pictures are just priceless!!!!! 

 

 

Yesterday we were at a service…HUGE yard and we were picking up tons of sticks and logs off of her yard so they could mow it and I noticed there were TONS of these very spikey caterpillars all over this four wheeler she was driving. (the four wheeler had a trailer we would put the logs and sticks in) anyways… I just had a bad feeling for some reason about this service project. Yes it was the spirit and YES i did put it off. It was just a very faint worry idk why it just was… anyways 5 minutes in I grab a log and felt a SHEEEEEERING pain in my hand and i dropped the log looked down and yep there’s a stinking caterpillar with the spikes! All these cool colors orange green yellow etc…I played it off very cool…. But crying inside ahhahah. I asked the lady who we were working for if she’s heard or seen of these caterpillars. She of course goes umm nope. I look back at my hand andddd its swelling faster than ANYTHING IN THE WORLD!!!! In my head I was like I hope i go to the ER because that would be a fire story but I didn’t haha! THAT THING KILLED holy cow it was probably 3 inches long and just wow these spikes on it were just gnarly…anywho I’m alive…am i gonna die in 2 days? Maybe!! I’ll put a picture or 2 of caterpillars I found that could’ve been the one that stabbed me haha! But that’s about all i gotta talk about…
