Week 51

Well!? Who's surprised we got an email sent out from me? I'll be straight forward, I 100000% surprised myself. Haha. Transfers are this Wednesday and Elder Dixon and I will stay in our same apartment and cover the Hurst ward as well as cover a new second area. We were just getting use to serving a solo ward again and now we are back to two. It is tough because we want to be 100% attentive to our wards and it is hard when our time is split. Respect to any missionaries who are covering a stake or multiple wards. I can’t imagine how hard that would be.

 

 

But covering two areas also has a FAT pro, and that is that we have a CAR! And in the heat of Texas, a car is such a FAT pro. OHHHH, and another BEAST pro with serving two wards is that our food calendars are gonna get full! Oh yeah! 

 

 

So Jill... :((((( she probably won't be baptized for another quite a bit. She's golden beyond gold but there were some worries in the bishopric so we are pausing for a bit.

 

 

Ward members are still going over every day and talking to her about baptism, Book of Mormon, church, everything. They've taught it all for us which is how it's supposed to be which is AMAZING! Missionaries find, help teach with members and then it's all members from here on out! Y'all have a huge role to play and it's a hard roll to fill at times so good job for doing good!

 

 

One small miracle, out of the many God blessed us with this week, is that we decided to go out and find in the MIDDLE of the day. Here in 109-degree heat, we have trouble finding people in the dead of 109. So we prayed, had faith that we knew there was someone out there needing the gospel. But as we were knocking doors this guy was sitting outside smoking a joint hahahahaha so gold i love it... the situation not joint haha! But he goes "dang what's good boi"(African American). He's a beast. hahaha His name is Cam. I LOVE talking to Cam and hearing all the slang and hood talk. Why i love it? Idk. Maybe God sent me to Texas so i can start a gang when i get back home... a spiritual gang of course haha! But we sat down and he said that he was just praying God where are you right now, i need you. Moments later, we turned the corner hahaha just cool stories like that, that just make me smile. hahahah We talked to him and 3 of his other buddies that ended all up smoking joints. Can you get high off second hand smoke??  Yes mom, I'm safe. And everyone else. He just got out of jail 2 months ago and HUGE events in life that slowly led up to this moment when we turned the corner. He was able to recognize it was Gods hand and ya super cool! We talked about drugs a ton... and the gospel too haha! I love it. Makes me feel good when i can try and help people not do drugs. haha It is a blessing in my life to have been raised by parents who taught me to obey the commandments. And if you’re a convert or a believer of another faith, how cool is it we have the chance to get better each day! So grateful for this amazing gospel! wow! 

 

 

Ummm let's see what else happened this week... my mom sent me a package. It was super cool. haha I got a little mini basketball hoop and basketball... like small small i can put on the wall! So fun! There's a daily joy! 

 

 

I mentioned a daily joy^ so now for a daily complaint. hahaha, OUR AC HAHAHAHAHAH!!! So the temperature usual sits around 78 degrees all day long. Only problem is our bedroom sits right on the wall that the sun cooks on all day long. SO IT HEATS UP THE ROOM TO AROUND 85-90 degrees. hahahaha Oh sweet mercy how beautiful it is to sweat and sleep. I love it though. Reminds me of how grateful I need to be always for the things I have:') 

 

 

I have so many stories. It's so sad cause i can't fit them all into one email. Message me next p-day if y'all wanna hear more stories or more intense non-kid friendly stories. hahaha Here in Hurst, we kinda the hood so we see some DOPE things. Obviously safe for us but not for others. haha!! Anyways, sorry it's long email but short at the same time! Love y'all, have a great week. Thanks for the letters and packages y'all have sent! I've loved each and every one of them. They have truly touched me so thank you! You know who you are;) Y'all are the best, much love!
