Week 62
Hey y’all!!
We met with our new friend, Gabe. It was such a sweet miracle about how it all came about. I'm totally forgetting if I told y’all about it last email... Imma assume so... if not I'm sorry, but we had our "fishing lesson" with him this Saturday. SO. MUCH. FUN. He even caught a couple fishies. It was just perfect. We ended up crumbling fishies crackers into the water so little LITTLE baby fish would come up and eat it and we would get a little net and scoop fishies up and hook em up on a bober and throw them back in and catch TANKS!!! It was awesome and as we were sitting there, we would talk about gospel. It was just perfect. NATURAL WAYS OF TEACHING!! Love it!
Ahhh, sad news. We don't think Dana was able to make the payment so we aren't sure if she's gonna get kicked out soon or not but we are SO SAD, ughhh whyyyy dana nooooo. It's okay though cuz wherever she ends up, there are missionaries everywhere. The lord knows what He's doing and it's soooooo comforting to know it:)))
Not too long ago we were out and about and next to us was a train track. Not sure if I should be telling this but I'm going to anyways. We thought, why not take a couple pictures of us on the railroad with a sunset that would be cool!! And we did. We then looked to our left and the train went over the highway and it was like WOAH!!! We should totally go take a picture of the whole highway with lights on and highway signs just like the movie turbo hahahahaha!! AND THEN A STINKING TRAIN STARTED TO COME... oh my goodness, I can’t describe the fear and adrenaline that made my legs pump like none other! I SWEAR I WAS RUNNING 5 GAZILLION miles an hour IT was so scary and it was one of the electric ones so it was NOT stopping, going way too fast! We booked it and got to the side of the tracks about 10 seconds before the train passed us.... HOLY COW!!!! Talk about being in a movie hahaha, I literally felt like there was an explosion behind me or a bunch of bashers running behind us telling us that we are a cult hahaha, it was crazy!!
But we then continued on as we laughed about it haha, turn of events!!
But overall it was a good week. Me and my comp aren't getting fed at all and it's been so sad. It's been very dry on the meal calendar lately and I kid you not, we found the best cheap pizza EVER!!! Shout out to Tony’s frozen pizza. hahahaha It is about $3 so $1.50 splitting it. WE EAT PIZZA just about every single day, sometimes multiple times a day, and the same with Annie's macaroni. hahaha I don’t know why I'm sharing this. These are just the funny moments of the mission where THE GOSPEL IS JUST FUN!!!! It is! I’m just leaving it at that. haha Hope all is well with y’all. Have a great week!
Till next week, Elder Mortensen (White lightning) outta here!
